Eight, 2010

This site-specific installation of drawn faces was the culmination of a long–term project that culminated in SLOW: Relations + Practices, a residency/exhibition at Centre A Gallery (Vancouver) in the spring of 2010.

The SLOW project developed over a two-year period between eight Vancouver cultural producers. It represented the desire to discover the subtle and unexpected links between the participants, as they maintained creative autonomy within the shared relational context of a residency/exhibition. The drawings produced for this installation acknowledge the development of a self that is constituted in and through social practices and exchange.
